Sorry sweetheart, the space-time continuum is unfortunately out of Mummy’s reach
By hissychick | August 8, 2009
“Why do the days keep going around and around Mummy? Make them stop, they’re too quick!”
Good question darling A. Somehow I find myself eighteen and a half weeks pregnant, which should not be so surprising to me given the size of my belly and the random kicks from within. Our major scan where we find out whether it’s a boy/girl/goat is scheduled for this Friday.
I blinked and somehow my oldest girl is six months away from starting school. How can she seem so grown up yet so little all at once?
I lost my concentration and miss E reengaged me in the conversation at a three year old level, as confirmed by the ECHN at last week’s two year old checkup.
I pondered the possibility of moving to a bigger house, and find myself with an offer accepted, a move to plan and our current house to sell.
You’re right miss A. It is all moving rather quickly, and it scares me that I now understand what people mean when they say that it was only last week that they brought their sixteen year old newborn home from hospital.
Thank dog for the anaesthesia that is broken sleep.

Likewise.
Here in Malaysia we register our kids for school in Feb/March of the year the kid turns 5; they start Standard 1 (ie Year 1) the year they turn 7.
Caitlin is a November child.
When I went to register her for school, I kept thinking “But she had only just turned 4! Talk of school already??”

Posted by: JLow on August 9th, 2009 at 9:45 pmYes, time flies indeed….wish we spend every minute of it as well as we can!
Yet there are times when we wish for it to pass faster….like now, Monday morning…..can’t wait for the weekend again! hahaha….
But time in the aspect of our kid’s growing up is one we always wish would slow down!

Myron is already 5 months old, and it seems like we were just talking about expecting our no.3.
Well, happy days for the next 22 weeks (minus a few days).
Cheers.
