Precisely the boost to the self esteem that I needed today.  And it was professed without prompting, so I can’t even blame mr hissychick.

Then again, just how seriously should I take something uttered by a little person who keeps trying to climb into the television to join Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy, Gavin*, and Bobo the dog faced clown* In the Night Garden?

Either way, in A’s eyes I am obviously the frontrunner for WWM 08.  Sigh.

* Probably not actual characters in the show. Although they should be.

    See? SEE?? Our kids aren’t the only ones who think Daddies are fun!

    (By the way, Wife already does work, just not as fun to the kids as she should be :)

  2. Bah - I bet he would not be so much fun after 3 or four days.

    The reason they are so much bloody fun is like Santa they come in full of HoHoHo’s loud laughter and usually with a banned treat just before we try and geed the brocolli.
    But if Santa hung around for a few days his HoHoHo’s would not be so freaking joyous then, fat guy in a red suit taking up the whole couch and not wanting to watch the Wiggles…mutter mutter mumble bah humbug!

  4. On further discussion with A I find out that she doesn’t like me at the moment because apparently Daddy isn’t as cross as me.

    I was feeling lower than dirt until mr hissychick pointed out that A would quickly learn that his fuse would burn out after long days together too..

  5. Kids are kids. They are clueless as to how much work and effort it takes to care for them.

    Usually by the end of the day Micah will hear this phrase from me (in a stern and stressed tone): Micah, I am very tired and cannot be very patient. Make yourself sleep or I will start yelling at you.

    He gets it. Also, after I have said that, I feel a little more calm and patient than before. :P
