Yes, A uttered those words to me upon spying a picture of a tongue pierced girl at the dental clinic this morning. And I couldn’t even say no seeing as her father only got rid of his in the last year.
Other gems from today include:
“If you’re naughty Daddy I will bite you on the boob” WTF?
“Wot? Why?” Uttered defiantly in the perfect bovver boy voice whenever we ask her to do anything. Or nothing for that matter.
“<A blasphemous phrase that her mother is wont to use>” Guilty as charged. But we’re working on it. Although telling her it was a rude word and a Mummy word didn’t help. If anything it has heightened the appeal.
And the following exchange…
Mr hissychick (post bath): Time to get dressed A.
A (naked and barely draped in a towel) : I’m already dressed Daddy.
Mr hissychick: No you’re not, come over here…
A: But Daddy, I am a butterfly, we wear wings (holding towel aloft). See my wings…therefore I’m dressed OK?
Mr hissychick (laughing): …….
Me: Did our threenager just use the word therefore?!
Mr hissychick: And perfect logic. We are so screwed.
A (doing her butterfly dance): Lalalalalalalalala…I’m off to the library.
Thankfully our little bad mean pirate is in bed. Did I f mention that she keeps threatening to cut our backs and stab us and kill us with her sword (a cardboard roll) following a playdate today with some of her pirate fixated little mates? Guess it makes a nice change from the usual princessy shite that has been shoved down the throats of all kidlets with two X chromosomes.
As for E….she continues to work on her plan for world domination.
