Just when you thought it was safe. And stuff.

By hissychick | March 25, 2008

Yes dear internets, I am baaaaccckk.

My mini blogging break* is over, and I am hoping that I am now sufficiently clear of mind to recommence blogging with gusto, eloquence, wit and vigour.

I’ll stop laughing when you do.

Anyway, a good fun and chocolately Easter was had by mr and mrs and the little hissychicks.  Both A and I may or may not have commenced each morning since with a chocolate fix from our stash (look away fun police, look away!). E, although having missed out on a direct hit of the good stuff has had some interesting nappies of late which I am sure have absolutely nothing to do with my consumption of all things cocoa based (ahem).

I also had me a birthday in there. And if I do say so myself, I’m doing rather fabulous for 29 **.  My talented husband, under the strict guidance of the threenager, created a spectacular birthday cake, the rather aptly named “Princess Shazza”.  Behold the cake in all its tizzy glory:

Princess Shazza

Although the pic is more impressive in colour I’m not going to break with my B and W tradition just yet. Suffice to say that the Princess was suitably pink and sparkly and perky, much like myself of course.

And that is where I will leave you for now folks.   I may have had my break, but still need to get that mojo happening. Chocolate anyone?

* Naturally I couldn’t keep myself away from the www the whole time as that would have meant interacting with the real  world. I have done a fair bit of lurking but not commenting on various blogs near and dear to my heart. I will pop in and comment soon folks, I promise.

** Plus three. Boo hiss.

  4. Luckily they still remembered your birthday amidst Easter and all the chocolates, etc.

I have a friend whose birthday is Jan 1st! Honestly! He “complains” that most forget about his birthday because they are too busy with New Year’s.

So what’s happened to the cake-doll?

  7. Just an update on the cake - it has survived and been put back together to join the roster of the eldest’s dolls.

Excuse a lurking hubby for butting in, but I thought it important to know that no dolls where injured in the making of the cake.
