And we’re off and racing

E is officially on the move. And we’re doing additional babyproofing on the run as we extricate her from dangerous situations that we’d never really thought about. This is because:
a) It’s been a while since A was on the floor
b) A was an angel child in that regard and didn’t really get into things, and
c) How soon you forget. See point a).
So far today I have removed E from:
- The tangle of cables tucked underneath or computer desk- thankfully she was playing with a USB rather than a power cord. Smart baby makes up for dumb mother. And stuff.
- A’s grotty potty. At least it was clean and empty and E was only banging on the lid. Still…ewww.
- Chewing on one of my rubber thongs (flipflops for all you non Aussies, the alternative is beyond gross) that she had retrieved from the shoe basket that I thought she could not reach. Apparently I was wrong.
Parent of the year awards, here we come.
At least little miss E has reverted to her happy shiny self now that she has this crawling gig properly underway. A was pretty thrilled too. Until she realised that her little sister could now get her stuff.
And that, dear internets, marks the true beginning of sibling rivalry. No to mention the end of daytime blogging- which was already down to a snatched few minutes here and there given A’s need to be lavished with attention for the twelve hours straight that she is awake.
Boo hiss.

My boys: Micah realised that the first night we brought Max back from the hospital. Max realised that at 4 months old when he was nursing at night, heard his brother cried and suckled harder so that I could not unlatch him!
Now you need extra eyes too to watch 2 kids going in different direction!!
