9 weeks 1 day Yesterday I had a small amount of brown spotting, only really noticeable after going to the loo and I have to admit I completely freaked out. I had a little bit today as well, so I rang the IVF clinic and they told me it sounds like a bit of old blood and just to take it easy until Wednesday’s scan appointment. If the bleeding increases, becomes red and there are cramps I am to call back (please, no)… I did another HPT this morning and the line is still strong, plus I threw up from evening sickness last night so I hope beyond all hope that bubs is alright. I wish I had never seen in “What to Expect When You are Expecting” that a brown discharge sometimes means a missed miscarriage. God I hate that book, people talk about it being reassurring but I find that it freaks me out. They should call it “Everything that could possibly go wrong when you’re expecting”. Or maybe that’s just me. Not posting on the boards at the moment, partly because I’m scared and partly because I am too tired to do anything much at all. Maybe the latter is a good thing? Roll on Wednesday’s scan….
