Time to duck in very quickly for a brief update. My HCG levels on Wednesday were 723, up from 121.8 only four days prior so things are looking good. Can’t wait for next Wednesday’s scan so that I can rule out an ectopic once and for all. I know that I am going to do at least one other HPT in the meantime just for reassurrance. It makes a difference to be able to see that line get darker… Tried to book in with Dr P this morning but he is only taking on one birth per week and it is already booked! I don’t know who to go to so I have booked with my gyn, Dr D who will take me to 12 weeks. I wish she still did obstetrics, but what can you do? Also i want to see who Dr K recommends at my scan on Wednesday. Maybe it will be easier to book an OB via the clinic? It’s not like i am going to give my whole history to a receptionist but maybe I will be able to get an appointment via one of my doctors? Who knows…At least I have a tentative booking with Westmead Private for the birth. It seems you have to get in so early with these things. Not too many symptoms to report at this stage, a little bit of afternoon/early evening/hungry tummy nausea and tiredness- I have been in bed by 9pm the last few nights which is unheard of for me. My boobs are only just starting to show some signs of soreness today, and I haven’t had too many aches/cramp like pains, my lower back aches sometimes and i have had a few mild twinges in my lower abdomen but that’s it. The abdominal twinges that I have had have not been limited to one side thankfully. And the best bit is there has been no spotting so far! I hope these are good signs… I guess I’d better get back to work. For all those who have sent such lovely messages of congratulations and support, thankyou
